Let Me (Re)Introduce Myself

Hey Y'all,

It's been a hot minute since my last post--life and health issues have kept me pretty busy. Some things have been wonderful: I got married and several friends and family had super adorable babies! Others not so much: losing family members and being put on endo "treatment" medications that caused health problems instead of solving them.

Anyway, I'm back now and ready to start posting more often with the latest and greatest endometriosis news--especially within Atlantic Canada!

For those of you who are new...

I'm Julie, an endo patient who has faced the challenges of this condition firsthand for well over a decade now. I've had two surgeries, excision and ovary/Fallopian tube/appendix removal due to a cancerous tumor found during my excision surgery. I have a significant sensitivity to hormones so I'm navigating endo with as many natural, hormone-free treatments as possible. Although there are two excision specialists and the pelvic pain clinic here in Halifax, navigating endo is still very challenging.

That’s why I created this website: to raise awareness, share reliable information, and explore the treatment options available to manage endo.

I recently signed up for the first Nova Scotia Run to End Endo event on May 31st as a patient speaker and participant! If you are in the area, you should come run, walk, stroll (whatever feels good for your body) in support of endo research and endimetriosis patients. Donating to the cause by clicking here is another impactful way of getting involved.

I'm so looking forward to connecting with local FriEndos to support and empower each other on our endo journeys. 🎗

I believe that through advocacy, collaboration, and awareness we can continue to build a stronger endometriosis community right here in Halifax. Every endo warrior deserves the best care possible along with understanding and compassion for the struggles that come with having endometriosis.

Whether you're in Halifax or halfway around the world, welcome to my site and thanks for reading! I always love hearing others' experiences and endo journeys, so message anytime with advice, news, or stories about life with endo. 💛

Yours Truly,

Julie
